Dr. Moolamalla’s personal philosophy in treating patients involves not only helping them feel better, but also guiding them towards a positive quality of life. Her ultimate goal in practicing medicine is to be a good listener, and put herself in her patients’ shoes to truly understand their various situations. Dr. Moolamalla enjoys getting to know her patients, and helping them develop a healthy lifestyle. She believes that in order to be a family physician, it is vital that she makes her patients comfortable, and create an environment centered on trust.
Dr. Moolamalla has been practicing medicine in the McKinney area since 1997 – and is thrilled to be a part of Healthcare Associates of Texas! Her main areas of interest are adolescent, women, and elderly care. Additionally, Dr. Moolamalla has gained a large amount of experience in treating anxiety, depression, and ADHD.
Dr. Moolamalla completed both college and medical school in India. Specifically at Siddhartha Medical College – Nagarjuna University. She completed her residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, which is affiliated with Loyola College in Chicago. She received her Board Certification in Family Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Moolamalla’s husband is a well-established psychiatrist in McKinney, and she met him in medical school. They have two daughters, and have been happily married for almost 30 years. Dr. Moolamalla enjoys her book club, which she has been a part of for over 5 years. She also loves to travel with family, as well as traveling as a doctor to places in need – including service trips to set up medical clinics in Honduras and India.
