I became a physician because I wanted to help people. Growing up, I watched some of my family members manage a variety of medical conditions. I saw the impact that their physicians had on them, and the changes their physicians helped them make; I knew I wanted to do the same for people when I grew up. I chose to specialize in family medicine because I enjoy getting involved with and caring for an entire family. I believe that treating the entire family helps hold each person more accountable for their healthcare, which allows me to focus on preventive care. My goal as a physician is to help my patients stay healthy for a lifetime and prevent chronic medical conditions from developing.
I was born in Houston and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I moved to Fort Worth to complete my medical training at University of North Texas Health Science Center. I stayed in Fort Worth after medical school, completing my residency in family medicine at Plaza Medical Center.
My wife and I live in Las Colinas. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with my family, playing basketball or tennis and reading.
